Tokyo Fashion Week is the last of the best fashion week shows which happen around the world.
Fashion Week is the showcase which the designers use to show to the world what the trends will be for the forth coming season, so while it is Autumn/Winter, the designers display clothes which are for the Spring/Summer of the following year. Similar to when it is actually Spring/Summer, the designers display clothing which are for wearing in the coming seasons of Autumn/Winter. Confused.
There are many Fashion Week shows throughout the world, but there are 5 which are considered to be the best fashion shows in the world. The clothes shows start in New York in America, then it is on to London in Great Britain,UK,, before then heading to mainland Europe, and Milan, in Italy, after which it is off to France and the capital,Paris. It is now time to fly to Tokyo in Japan, for the last of the best five fashion week shows throughout the globe.
Across the globe the designers decided which place in the world that they will be presenting their fashion collections, most of the designers will showcase the fashion collections in what is considered their home land, although some choose to show the new fashion collection in a place in the world where they wish to have more followers, capture a market.
Tokyo Fashion Week dates are 13th - 20th October in the year 2012, the show collection being shown will be displaying the fashions for the Spring / Summer season of 2013.

One of the shows which stole the headlines at Tokyo Fashion Week in Japan was by the designer Yasutaka Funakoshi for his designer label Alice Auaa. The collection was inspired by Alice in Wonderland and was called, alice in wonderland in me. It was a most atmospheric show with a dark runway / catwalk and sombre piano music to set the mood, the clothing which was presented was all in character with the alice in wonderland theme and even had a figure which appeared in the background, it seemed to be a rabbit or hare type animal and at the end of the fashion show it once again appeared but this time it was revealed as being Yasutaka Funakoshi, pictured below right, the designer of this collection Alice Auaa.
The Alice In Wonderland In Me fashion show by alice auaa as you can see from the photographs above was certainly a fashion show collection with a difference. All the aspects of the fashion show had the correct attention to detail paid to them, the music, setting, lighting, timing and yes, the clothes. Well done for creating such an impressive fashion show. Entertainment all round.
