Styled To Rock has over the past 9 weeks had 12 of the most talented, undiscovered young fashion designers put through their paces. In the competition STR, to find the next big fashion designer to design for iconic superstars, like rihanna.
The designers get the chance to dress some of the biggest names in the celebrity music industry, with the winner winning the prize of dressing Rihanna, or maybe undressing Rihanna.
Rihanna has hand picked some fashion industry experts to help in the quest to find the next superstar designer. Rihanna has picked expert judges/mentors, Henry Holland - fashion designer, Nicola Roberts - pop star, Lysa Cooper - star stylist. Mentor's pictured below.
The contestant who does not meet with the judges expectations will be asked to leave, eliminated from Styled To Rock.
High fashion, high emotion and high level access to the biggest stars in the game. STR.This is the Styled To Rock semi final, and being only one challenge away from dressing Rihanna.
There are 4 people left in the competition show STR, Styled To Rock.
As they reach the penultimate challenge,
pictured below from left to right are Zainab, Jacqueline, Steve, and Heidi.
Mentors Henry Holland, Nicola Roberts and Lysa Cooper meet with the contestant designers of S.T.R.
The mentors tell the STR designers about their next challenge and the involvement with 3 mannequins.
The young designers are told that they will be designing a mini collection for 3 clients, of 3 outfits with an open and generous brief, although the collection needs to have a cohesiveness about it. The budget for the entire clothing collection is £500. The Styled To Rock designers have just 3 days to complete the outfits, ready to show.
The workload is massive, so the STR designers will require assistance, the in through the door comes the other past contestants, who have previously been eliminated. the Styled To Rock designers still in the competition are told that they are allowed to pick one person from the eliminated group, to act as assistant in this challenge, for this week only. Friendship rekindled.

With the assistants picked the Styled To Rock designers must now find out who will be their next client, Henry Holland introduces Pop Star, Tinchy Stryder, as the first client.
Tinchy's Guidelines are : Extravagant & versatile, Beige & Brown, Subtle but speak loudly.
The designers then crack on with the brief and start creating design idea's, then it is off to the house to relax and prepare for the gruelling days ahead.
The next day the designers of STR know that another celebrity client will be revealed, but for now they carry on with the task of designing for Tinchy Stryder. Then Henry Holland speaks with them and announces that the second oufit is for a client Popstar called, Nicola Roberts, haha !
Nicola's Guidelines are : Promotional TV interview, Relaxed urban sexy look, Feminine but not girly.
Now with time against them the 4 remaining contestants of Styled To Rock, go out to shop for materials to create their clothes, withplenty of work to be getting on with, when fabrics are bought it is back to the fashion design studio. The STR designers get hard at work for this complex challenge, they work long hours to complete the monumental task. To Cut It.
The next day while working on their designs, Nicola Roberts enters the design studio to tell the Styled To Rock contestants, who their final outfit willm be for, it's electro pop star, disco diva, Little Boot's.
The STR designer's look visably shattered, but must push the tiredness aside and step up, focus, and deal with it, to get this job done. the complete 3 outfit showcase is tomorrow.
The Styled To Rock designers once again hit the shops for materials and embellishments, when enough has been purchased it's back to the design studio. Work work WORK.
Little Boot's has come to the design studio to hear about the STR designer's idea's for her outfit. Each designer pitches their style idea to Little Boots, but there is not much time or room for error as the timeline is so tight, so they must get it right.
This is definately the toughest Styled To Rock challenge to date, to create a cohesive collection of 3 outfit's for 3 celebrity client's in 3 day's.

After so much hard graft, it is finally here, showcase day. The 4 semi-finalists designers in STR and the assistants head across London to the showcase venue. Everyone makes last minutes touches to the outfits or themselves.The Styled To Rock designers brace themselves for their biggest showcase. This showcase is like no other, any STR designer, who's outfit does not get picked by the client, will face elimination.
Henry Holland, Nicola Roberts, Lysa Cooper, Tinchy stryder, and Little Boots wait for the show to begin. and so, Let the show begin.
First to show is Zainab, the clothes look goog, the judges/clients are mostly impressed with Little Boots least pleased.
Second to show is Steve, his clothing looks nice, again the judges/clients are impressed though Nicola Roberts has concerns.
Next up to show is Heidi, her oufits look exciting, the judges/clients are again impressed but this time Tinchy Stryder seems to have reservations.
Last to show is Jacqueline, her outfit's look good,with judges/clients happy though again Little Boot's is a little disappointed.
With the showcase finished the 4 Styled To Rock designer's have now done all they can to try and stay in STR. Now they must wait, the designers are anxious of the decision from the clients. All the Styled To Rock designers have worked very hard to achieve the level of success needed to of completed this challenge and each one deserves a huge pat on the back for creating 3 outfit's for 3 people in 3 day's. Well done.
After much deliberation the celebrity client's and mentor's/judge's ask the Styled To Rock contestants into the showcase room, altogether they will hear the result of the challenge.
The look that Nicola Roberts goes with is Heidi's.
The next to choose is Little Boots and she chose Heidi's.
Then Tinchy Stryder goes with Jacqueline.
So, Jacqueline joins Heidi in the final, with still hope for one more, but will it be Steve or Zainab.
Steve and Zainab, both whose fate will be decided by the mentor/judges back at the design studio, one of them will be leaving the competition and going home.
It is a very difficult decision for the mentors, as both Steve and zainab have proven themselves to be worthy of competing in this competition, Styled To Rock.
Statistically, Steve and Zainab are the designers who have won the most challenges, but that has now been turned on it's head. who will be asked to leave ?
After the mentors discuss each designer, they then ask to speak with, both Steve and Zainab, to get their account of what they have to offer. At this stage in the STR competition, everyone has got the talent and skill, but what can you bring as an individual, especially for the next, and real important client Rihanna, should you go through and not be eliminated. With more at stake than before, the mentor's ask both Steve and Zainab to leave the room, while they deliberate and discuss to reach a decision, who stays ? who goes ?
When a decision has been reached the Styled To Roch designers, Steve and Zainab are asked to re-enter the mentor room.
Henry Holland says that at this stage, what we are really looking for is someone who can present something, new, fresh, exciting, interesting and innovative to Rihanna and for us, that's you, Zainab. Well done. Sorry Steve, we are going to ask you to go, Steve is eliminated from Styled To Rock. Steve thanks the mentors for the advise he has recieved in STR, he is disappointed and feels down.
