What is your all time favorite runway / catwalk designer collection ?

This year already we have seen so many designers collections hitting the worlds fashion runway`s and receiving much applause, the fabrics, the colours and of  course the design have been innovative so enhancing the designers collections. There have been so many different themes on the runway with some designers taking ever increasing risks to find new unexplored grounds of fashion design. As newer fabrics are brought to the table, so the colours change and then the creation of the designer takes control in the style of the fashion garment. For me there have been multiple designers collections which have taken my eye and my memory.

                                             
                                          
I will discuss my favorite pieces from the collections here, though first i would like to give you the chance to put your own thoughts forward to me by telling me which of the catwalk / runway collections pieces you have in your eye and mind ?

There has also been some catwalk / runway shows which have been slightly off the beaten track, some designers have taken on the idea of recreating the designer show collection by having the show in a different place and or using props and ideas which would perhaps make a designers show collection more memorable due to location and or background situation.

There are many varied designers of fashion and also diffusion ranges belonging to the same fashion house, i.e. Giorgio Armani , Emporio Armani , Armani Jeans.

Is there a clothing label (the actual label at collar or seam or other) which is memorable ?
In the fashion industry at the highest end there is Haute Couture, these collections showcase the designers talent for their art of designing fashion for the catwalk shows and then for the customer who has a passion for the fashion they have witnessed, these clothes can then be made to size and may be altered in any way neccesary for your approval and the designers of course. Haute Couture is often flambouant and right at the cutting edge of designer fashion.

I really have a passion for clothes, the designer, fashion and style i find interesting. We wear clothing in our everyday lives and it can have such an impact and influence.
I have compiled a list of the designer labels i have seen both past and present, they are personal favorites of mine although for me just because there is a label on a garment does not for me mean that i have an automatic liking for the item. Fashion is a personal thing.
Within a designers collection is sometimes several other labels which are sometimes called diffusion ranges, i do like to explore designers full collections. One of the wonderful things about life is the diversity, and this applies to fashion as well as other aspects in life. It is one of the things that makes us different from each other and to appreciate others, we are not all the same, how boring that would be.

Influence

                                                          INFLUENCE IN FASHION.


                What does influence fashion ?
                    
                        From the beginning of time even Adam and Eve improvised with leaves,
                        the caveman improvised and wore the skin of animals,
                        Highlanders in Scotland wore a length of homespun woollen cloth wrapped around,
                        Then came the Kilt, still worn today, as are the others listed above,
                        although leaves today are now often an embellishment on clothes.


Influence comes from our surroundings, so taking this in to account, the weather, the occasion, these are attributes towards what clothing attire we wear. Today there are other factors which influence us, our jobs, family, friends and also interests such as music this is a large influence as the music artist will often portray a certain style which some of their music fans follow. Influenced or influential.                   



Colour was also important later in time, in Scotland the Highlander would wear a tartan kilt which would be coloured by using plants found locally these plants changed the fabric to colours which would blend in to the area they were in, so as to act like camoflague to any enemies, the colours would also dictate which group clan that they belonged, a form of identification.

Living life takes us on many paths and some are wet, so waterproof clothing is of function, haha, so sometimes the weather can influence our fashion, both hot and cold. Another factor is situation we may find ourselves in, we should follow etiquette in places of the world where we must be suitably attired. Other times we can wear what ever pleases us. Although hopefully you can appreciate the different times when fashion are influenced and just tune in and go with the flow and enjoy the adventure.
Throughout our lives we go through different activities which may require suitable clothing for sport or for an interview, clothing and the fashion style are pratical and personal.
There are many things that influence what we wear, music is one which can create a whole new or recurrance in the fashion stakes. Styles of music influence the bands which in turn influence the fans be it hip-hop or heavy metal the influence carries on and helps to give identity which is so important in other aspects of our lives. The punk music industry in the 1970`s lead to the start in the rise to fame to super star level for one of the worlds greatest designers, Vivienne Westwood, still very much a key person in the fashion industry today, she shows such great talent of expression, her clothing available worldwide and an iconic figure herself due to her selfless dedication for her art of couture.
So the situation, surroundings, activity, weather, may dictate what you wear or you decide.

Mens Fashion

                                                                 MENS FASHION.


The current and past trends of mens designer fashion style has always been of interest to me. We wear clothing every day in life, well almost, throughout my life i have been drawn to certain pieces of clothing by specific designers, I believe that fashion is a very good way in which we can express ourselves and we can dress to kill....

From the classic black Gucci suit to the colourful Versace shirts so classic, i enjoy the creative designs as well as the classic staple wardrobe pieces.
As the time passes so does the trends with new ideas coming forward on the worlds runways then finding there way to high street and sometimes a certain trend that had been seen in a few years previous returns to our lives and goes from runway to high street and may even have a subtle twist to reinvent.
I do not have a favorite designer, but tend to appreciate each individual aspect of the designers collections and i will decide which pieces from the runway collections that float my boat. I do like mens fashion but then i have a personal connection with it, although i really do like to view the womens couture collections as i find these very creative and like works of art to enjoy, the workmanship is amazing, as are the ideas.
Dressing up is FUN so go on enjoy.

Jean-Paul Gaultier Couture Show 2012

Jean Paul Gaultier or J.P.G. has been designing clothes for many years and is one of my favorite designers and is recognised worldwide for his innovation and creativity in the fashion world. Gaultier has shops in many cities around the world. There are a few ranges available such as Junior Gaultier , JPG Jeans and Jean-Paul Gaultier. These ranges enable Gaultier to make clothing for many different customers.


                         

One the best couture shows i have seen this year has to be the Jean-Paul Gaultier Haute Couture show. He shows so much creativity and really is a no holds barred designer fashion style. Reckon my favorite piece would be the corset dress which is gold in colour and really is such a stricking piece of haute couture, another iconic piece, well done.
