ANTM, America's Next Top Model, cycle 18(also known as America's Next Top Model : British Invasion) is the eighteenth "cycle," or season, of ANTM, America's Next Top Model.
America's Next Top Model cycle 18 features 14 girls, fourteen models, placing 7 British models who have competed in previous cycles of Britain's Next Top Model alongside 7 all-new American model hopefuls in an overall competition.
The catch-phrase for this cycle is "Its the Battle against the Brits versus the Yanks."
The prizes for this cycle are:
- A modeling contract with LA Models & NY Model Management.
- A guest correspondent placement with the Extra news magazine.
- A fashion spread in Vogue, Italia, and both the cover and a spread in Beauty In Vogue.
- The face of the America's Next Top Model perfume product "Dream Come True".
- Production of a music composition that wil be performed by the winner that will then be released as a record single by CBS Records.
- A US $100,000 contract with CoverGirl cosmetics.
The returning contestants from Britain's Next Top Model and their prior placements are:
Cycle 3 - Louise Watts, runner up.
Cycle 4 - Catherine Thomas, runner up.
- Ashley Brown, 4th place.
Cycle 5 - Annaliese Dayes, 7th place.
- Sophie Sumner, runner up.
Cycle 6 - Alisha White, runner up.
The competition of America's Next Top Model, ANTM, starts at Universal Citywalk in Hollywood, where the 7 new models representing America find out that they will be up against previous contestants from across the pond, on Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model or rather before the name change it was called Britain's Next Top Model.
There is first a fierce fashion parade where the ANTM models are on the top of floats, which are parade vehicles. Whilst the American girls recieve lots of cheer and love from the crowd, the British girls are struck with silence, with the crowd stunned.
After the parade the models take part in a catwalk challenge with the legendary sports boxing ring announcer Michael Buffer as master of ceremonies, commentator.
In the challenge, the ANTM girl models take it in turn to walk the catwalk in pairs, as one American and one British model walk against each other, until all the models have competed against each other.
Ashley is offended when Candice calls her a trick, while that is bad enough, then at the end ofthe catwalk while posing, Jasmia throws her jacket and it hit's AzMarie's face.
After the catwalkshow the girls go to their new ANTM house. The house is most amazing and and has fun at the core with many places decorated in a fun way, bright and interesting. The American girls shock the British girls by skinny dipping in the pool. Ahh nakedness.
The very first photo shoot for ANTM has the models portraying either American or British public figures, but at the same time the models are jumping on a trampoline, and are being photographed by around sixty cameras which capture the model's in 3D. NICE.

When everyone has completed the photo-shoot they are then criticised for them by the panel of judges, who are not forgiving.
The 3D capture shot photo-shoot photographs look like an amazing technological advancement in camera photography, taking pictures which are rotational, excellent, but it is not the camera that is being judged, it is the models, so what will the judges say. Cut.
The last two models, Seymore and Sophie recieve the most praise,its the strongest photograph, capturing what was needed in this challenge. Kyle, Laura and Catherine were also complimented for a good photograph shoot. But there is tears from Alisha, she breaks down and also feeling the painis Jasmia and Mariah, who have fallen flat in their photo's. Though it is Ashley who is repremanded the most, for thinking beyond the shot.
When in front of the panel, the models are told by Tyra, that although she is American, that she will be unbiased towards judging the model girls in the competition.The last two models, Seymore and Sophie recieve the most praise,its the strongest photograph, capturing what was needed in this challenge. Tyra Banks also introduces the other panel judges : Nigel Barker, Kelly Catrone, Kelly Osbourne and of course herself, Tyra Banks.
Catherine, Kyle, Laura, Seymone and Sophie recieve praise, while Ashley and Jasmia find themselves in the bottom two for their poor photo-shoots. Only one of these two can stay,one will be eliminated and have to leave ANTM. Tyra hands the last photograph to Ashley the scottish lassie, or should i say the girl from scotland, which means she is still in the competition, ANTM, America's Next Top Model. Jasmia on the other hand must leave, she has been eliminated.
