London Collections : Men.

                                             LONDON COLLECTIONS : MEN.

We are only just starting a new year and it is 2013 and the month of January and already we are seing some brilliant menswear on display at this beginning of the year fashion show. There are over 50 fashion shows and over 20 fashion presentations on display at LCM London Collections : Men.

The LondonCollectionsMen is similar to London Fashion Week and is an organised fasion clothing event where clothes designers can show off the talent for design and creativity, the clothes designer can display there clothing collection either by presentation show or by staging a runway catwalk show for the crowd of fashion editors, fashion buyers and journalists. Many models will attend this clothes show in the hope that work may be put toward their direction during the coming fashion weeks. The fashion weeks is important to the fashion industry and travels the globe visiting many countries, the biggest shows are held in NewYork, London, Milan and Paris.

The dates for the LCM London Collections Men is below ;
Monday 7 th January 2013.
Tuesday 8 th January 2013.
Wednesday 9 th January 2013.

The BFC British Fashion Council was formed in 1983 out of the Fashion Industry Action Group, an ad hoc group created in 1981 to explore ways of co-ordinating the London fashion exhibition scene.  It showcases British designers and develops London’s position as a major player in the international fashion arena. As a result, London Fashion Week ranks alongside New York, Milan and Paris as one of the 'Big Four’.

The BFC British Fashion Council is an important factor in the British Fashion Industry as the British Fashion Council announces to talented  fashion designers which of them will recieve sponsorship from Fashion Forward. The sponsorship makes it possible for the fashion designers to get assistance in coming to and staging a fashion collection at London Collections : Men. Designers either stage a catwalk runway fashion show or host a presentation of their latest fashion creations. The BFC British Fashion Council also gives valueable business support to the designers, these aid to support and sustain the emerging talent in the British Fashion Industry. The mayor of London also promotes the London Collection's Men event as the London mayor is aware that the London Collections Men event is a fantastic chance to bring fashion to the UK capital of London and shows the rest of the world what an outstanding destination London is as a leading centre for men's fashion. London being a large city is a great place to shop and shopping can be done at the centre of town in the most sought after areas oof London where high end fashion boutiques are next door to each other, this promotes business as it gets many visitors for buying the essential fashion must haves.
Fashion is not only for women but for men too, and in this recent collection you will see clothes designers which are famous through years of working in the industry and there are also some designers who are far lesser known thoughare pushing boundaries if in fact there are any boundaries.

I have a keen interest in fashion and what is the clothing and accessories for clothes, i will look through the collections on show and pick out what items of fashion clothing and or accessories that i personally have an attraction too. Some designer fashion style i really like where others sometimes fall but then it is a matter of opinion and there are occassions when i have a liking for only one single item from a designers complete show collection, but then that one fashion item sends me wild and i reckon, it is a must have.

In my own personal taste i do gravitate toward the unusual but i do also appreciate the staple wardrobe, but whether an outfit is understated or complex the important factors for myself is recognising the quality of the work and also in developing and using innovation and creativity to make something fashionable and have people appreciate it.

In the UK United Kingdom which is England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales there are many fashion designers which hail from these corners of the island which is Great Britain. Lots of the people who would like to study fashion design attend college in London which is the most reknowned, but there are other learning places throughout Scotland England Ireland and Wales which support courses in fashion. So if we use Scotland for an example, there are fashion courses available in the North South East and West of Scotland which all assist in the learning of students who wish to learn and train so as to obtain a fashion award at which ever level of degree. Some of the colleges support special courses where they have special designed learning courses in specific fields of interest within the fashion industry. Services are available to assist students in learning throughout the world although some learning places have a higher recognised acclaim in the fashion industry and are noted for there specialist studies.

London which is the capital of Great Britain at least in England anyway kick starts the menswear calendar with a biannual showcase of British brands and businesses embedded in a cultural programme.
London Collections: Men emphasises both the creative and commercial importance of Britain’s brands and fashion labels emerging talent as well as the rich cultural landscape that contributes to the inspiration and success of this sector. All events on the schedule are designed to showcase the breadth of British United Kingdom fashion talent, from the world’s most innovative emerging talents to global menswear brands and Savile Row tailors. A.D.roks.

Some amazing clothes were on show at this recent fashion event and though all the creations may not be to your required taste i am sure that there is something available for everyone. At the London Collection : Men show we see creativity and innovation as well as the hold tight classic style of the fashion designer. Whether you rock the classics or are somewhat daring, your eyes will be blessed or maybe blinded by an array of the simple to the sublime and the absurd, but then it would be boring if all fashion was the same, where would the fun be in that. Fashion should be what you want it to be, and diversity shows direction.

LONDON COLLECTIONS MEN: DESIGNERS

I have compiled a list of the most recognised fashion designers and their presentations or pictures and or photographs from the recent London Collections Men 2013. Among some of my personal favorite fashion brands i have taken the initiative to include some designers which attracted my attention, the reason my mind drifts toward some fashion is of course a personal thing, and each to there own or not. Anyway i have included the designers which drew the most attention for various attributes.

The London Collections : Men. 2013.
LONDONCOLLECTIONSMEN.
LondonCollectionsMen. 2013.

Agi & Sam.
London Collections Men show for fashion designer Agi & Sam on the catwalk runway had some interesting creations and some lovely gorgeous dogs, basset hounds, backstage they also accompanied the male models on the outstanding innovative collection on show at this fashion event. It was an eye popping show with plenty of colour and a welcoming contrast with some nice muted shades contrasting. There was certainly no age descrimination especially toward the elderly, and the collection looks like it is a mans best friend. Woof woof !

Aitor Throup.
The London Collection Men show presentation for the designer Aitor Throup incorporates an innovative method of design and construction. Aitor Throup uses a diverse selection of influences in the designing of garments. Aitor Throup used horses, saxaphones and skulls to adorn the set of the presentation. One of the fashion pieces which caught my eye in particular was the skull backpack. Skullduggery skull. Hi Ho Silver !

Alexander McQueen
The London Collections Men show for 2013 displayed the Alexander McQueen collection for gentlemen and it was gentile. The clothes on show were quite refined and interesting as well as being awfully smart. Alexander you are Ma Queen.

Bally Everest Anniversary Event.
Swiss fashion firm celebrating 60 years of conquering Everest.
The London Collection Men presentation from Bally was very interesting and knowledgable on the geographic and historic side with the fashion and time relavent to the fashion on display at this event. Fur and leather are both sumptious materials and of course natural and it is resourceful to use by-products, although when a situation with the natural element of weather extremes arises this is a perfect condition which we can be helped by our animal friends and that which god blessed them with to cope with the conditions in the natural world, animal hides are a clever way to insulate any animal.

Christopher Kane.
The London Collection Men show for Christopher Kane had very familiar figures on the catwalk runway apart from the male models and it was in the form of fabrics that Christopher Kane had chosen to feature a monster mash up, the monsters included The Creature from the Black Lagoon and Frankenstein as well as other gruesome monsterous designs. Although Christopher Kane has shown the monster in him we also seen that he still knows that a man likes stylish wearable robust clothing, which the designer from Scotland included in the London Collection Men. The Scottish designers complete look on display was focussed and certainly grabbed my attention. Scary.

Christopher Raeburn.
The London Collections Men show for Christopher Raeburn was run with a kind of military precision, utilitarian nautical. Christopher Raeburn wearing his Britishness on his sleeve, the clothes that he had on show were uniformal in a military way with map prinks on blazer to parka. The inspiration behind this clothes show collection is Industrial Harbour Maunsell Sea Forts in Whitstable which is a British Naval landmark. The Christopher Raeburn show had lots of hoods and this served as a reminder of just how practical this clothing line is. This collection of clothes also has the finer details such as the map detailing and attention paid to the pockets and zips as well as the lining and once again it just emphisises the practicality. Map reading in the rain perhaps.

CP Company.
The London Collections Men CP Company presentation which was on display in a dark poorly lit room where the jackets and clothing was hanging suspended from the ceiling. CP Company make clothes which have style and functionality at the core of the fashion brand label philosophy. CP Company in the past has shown interest in military uniform and work suits and lately emphasis has been on urban city wear. Function and Fit for Purpose with Comfort. Hut hut Hut !!!

E.Tautz.
The London Collections Men show by E.Tautz has for sure got the Scottish influence clearly on display in the form of the most recognisable Scots fashion, that is Tartan. Patrick Grant is the designer for E.Tautz the brand label. Patrick Grant was born in Edinburgh which is the capital of Scotland. The E. Tautz collection on the catwalk runway has Savile Row cutting edge of British designer fashion at heart and teamed this with tartans and checks that are outstanding in colour. The clothing looks sophisticated and English in cut and is mixed and fused with a Hebridean feel for the idiosyncratic way of life in a remote place, such as the Hebrides.

Goodwood Sports and Racing by Belstaff.
The London Collections Men show presentation for Goodwood Sports and Racing by Belstaff had a display of vintage motorcycles for the male models to pose beside. The motorbikes are a flashback to the past and days of old. Alongside the motorbikes the clothing on display is classic and works for today as it did yesterday, Belstaff is a quality product with style appeal. Leather protection.

J.W.Anderson.
The London Collections Men catwalk runway show for J.W.Anderson was squiently different, perhaps a poke at fun or a serious turnaround in mens attire. To see men wearing skirts in various type, short shorts and dresses, it was for some ridiculous and for others it was entertaining, one thing is for sure, there was not enough material to keep the Winter frost from biting on exposed regions. At J.W.Anderson it was'nt all frills and spills, shockingly, clothes designer J.W.Anderson had men in knit jumpers and trousers too, Gasps.

James Long.
The London Collection Men show had designer James Long on the runway catwalk to show off the latest fashion creations and it was worth the wait. The earth colours of his character knitwear jumper pullovers were for me a highlight of this James Long clothes collection. James Long had some jackets, cardigans, and trousers which completed an overall outfit perfect for this clothing collection. The mix of fabric and material whichwas used worked and it was kept smart casual with shirts and shoes, the shoes were a collaboration with KG London, Kurt Geiger, the clear see-through plastic heel showed off the wearers socks which was a novel idea, but not only that, but the mix of materials which were utilised in the construction of the shoes was clever and there was a contrast in each individual garment type almost where you may be left wondering if the look was experimental, but it worked.

John Smedley.
The London Collections Men presentation for John Smedley was bright and colourful knitwear with meggings that is male leggings. If you were looking for stylish knitwear you are in the right place, all sorts of colour available, green, blue, red, and if you are not such a colour loving soul of a person then you could always of opted for the muted colour grey and the luxurious fabric that is cashmere, which several staple fashion garments of John Smedley were manufactured in. Comfortable in Quality.

Jonathan Saunders.
The London Collections : Men show presentation for designer Jonathan Saunders Man Autumn Winter 2013 2014 was a bright light of colour and sports wear styling made the Jonathan Saunders clothing spectacle most memorable. There were orange, blue, green colours in this clothes collection, but also some darker garments worn with these coloured fabrics so it was not a case of blinding blindness. Jonathan Saunders is a Scottish born fashion designer and brings to the table a flair in the use of mix and match, the designer from Scotland is high in the design stakes for colourful prints.

Katie Eary.
The London Collections : Men show on the runway catwalk for Katie Eary was an explosion of bright colour. The clothes were vibrant neon print flower power floral, easy to remember, although not all the clothing was as colourful. Katie Eary showed some trousers which were black and had ties down the legs, bondage like. The coat which Katie Eary had chosen to show at this collection which attracted myself, was a overcoat made using mohair on the body of the jacket and had textured leather sleeves, nice touch.

London Undercover.
The presentation at London Collections Men for London Undercover unfortunately relies on one natural element, and that is rain. London Undercover is an umberella company.

Margaret Howell.
The London Collection : Men show on the runway catwalk for designer Margaret Howell was chic winter cover-up. The clothing collection by designer Margaret Howell was classical wearable clothes with much attention paid to the style and design for which the brand label is well known in supplying understated garments to followers of fashion. Margaret Howell chose for the male models to walk in hats of the beret style which did complete the look, head to toe, H2T.

Nicole Farhi.
At the recent London Collections Men show presentation for designer Nicole Farhi the look was muted in palette of colour, with much sombre colours, in the shades of grey, beige, black and brown. The designs created by fashion brand Nicole farhi were casual but maintained the elegant look, which is suited to the Nicole Farhi fan. It is instantly noticed that this is a winter collection and has warmth and blending for the Nicole Farhi followers. Nothing outrageous here. Class Classics.

Paul Costelloe.
The clothing for the London Collections : Men show for Paul Costelloe were up to scratch, with gentleman style and countryfied gent appeal. The fabrics, cut and colour all fused well together in a clothes collection which was sure Paul Costelloe. Tweed material matched with brightly coloured accessories to attract attention was well played, it definately is country style, in design and fashion. Dapper Dude.

Richard James.
In this collection of clothing at the London Collections Men event, Richard James shows on the catwalk runway a collection of clothes which are so varied and apart in design and style to each otherc, what i mean is that Richard James had classic suits and also tuxedos but also had woollen knitted jumpers as well as cardigans and tammy bobble hats on the runway. The look was not one of muted colours or one of bright spark although i thought there were touches of brilliance by the designer, there was plenty of variation and colour, using toned colours to create the desired effect. Richard James had lots of accessories in this show, from hats and scarfs and different gloves, dependant on the occasion, as to the style and design of the garments. I really liked the patchwork blazer jacket which donned the runway.

Richard Nicoll.
The London Collections Men show for Richard Nicoll was to great standard. Richard Nicoll showed on the runway catwalk a collection which was a modern twist of rebelious brutal industrial architecture in grey and blue with a safety factor, which held the collection as a whole. Richard Nicoll had some fine menswear in the collection and chose to explore his creativeness which worked well in this clothing collection.

Sibling.
The collection of clothing on the runway catwalk for designer label brand Sibling at London Collections : Men was indeed a different one. The collection from Sibling was certainly memorable and reverses the common of something that has been shrunk in the wash, in this collections instance it looks like the garments have been enlarged to oversize. Whether you opinion is that this designers clothes collection is hilarious, ridiculous or wearable is a matter of opinion, atleast we can all surely see an element of fun though. The Sibling A/W 2013 2014 collection is said to of been inspired and influenced by the anarchy punk movement of New York, but from a view of someone living in solitude in Great Britain, the stitched motif jumper with the slogan "Please Kill Me" was also displayed as a backdrop for the runway catwalk show. Sibling brought this collection to us with the obvious Autumn and Winter in mind, from the snoods, like hats, to jumpers and not forgetting the trosers, shorts, scarfs and the mittens, mitts or gloves, which ever you call them, i am sure they must not be the easiest handwear to type or drive in, oh well. As well as the chunky knitwear on show, Sibling also had some rather fetching leopard print separates which the models strutted the show wearing them in a variety of colour. Cosy i expect.

Tom Ford.
The London Collections Men show presentation for fashion designer Tom Ford looked back to the past and returned to us with a Scottish classic, the Fair Isle Knit sweater, made from cashmere of course. The Tom Ford clothing collection was luxury and would certainly appeal to the customers who would know what luxury offerings Tom Ford can supply. Tom Ford said he had not designed a Fair Isle pattern since the eighties, the 1980's. That said this Tom Ford clothes line does not look dated, in fact it is very up to date but also holds the classic dateless, timeless, quality, luxury, still at the heart of creation.

TopMan Design.
At London Collections Men, Top Man Design had a runway catwalk on show, offering the chance to see what the brand will be showing in the autumn winter of 2013 2014. The TopMan menswear clothing line was showing some fashions which were heavily layered. A few jackets were cropped in style but mainly the clothes were oversized and looked winter orientated. The jackets and trousers by Top Man matched up well and the chunky walking boots completed the overall look. The colours TopMan used were rather plain, grey, white, beige, then burgundy wine and orange were a surprize to the palette of colour. The rucksacks were a nice adition to the collection and completed the finished look.

Vivienne Westwood Man.
At this years London Collections men show, designer Vivienne Westwood has chosen to express her fellings through the creativeness of her fashion designs, for the Climate Revolution. For Vivienne Westwood this is not a new approach to fashion, and by that i do not mean speaking through her clothes, but the Climate Revolution, the subject of the Climate Revolution is not just going to go away, like the effects on our planet. Vivienne Westwood is most passionate about fashion but also has concerns about the way in which we live our life or lives. The models on the runway catwalk looked like they had been demonstrating and got into a brawl. The Vivienne Westwood clothes which were displayed by the models were innovative and creative, but then it was a Vivienne Westwood show. The clothing was low-crotch pants trousers and short styled jackets to long tailed coats in a variety of colours, usually a choice of two different colours per outfit, mixed well for the time of year, but not letting the Autumn Winter dictate. Viva la Westwood.

Well that is the pictures and photos of the fashions clothing and clothes also accessories from the catwalk runway shows and presentations which have been shown at London Collections Men 2013. As you can see there is a diverse collection on display from names of fashion designers which you may of recognised already and others which surely will become widely acclaimed and accredited to the world of fashion although maybe at this present time they are not commonly known.
